Reinstalling Syncthing causes "(unknown device)"

I am installing Syncthing on a Mac. I have used Syncthing on this mac previously, but I thought the old installation was all deleted.

I downloaded the newest version, put only the executable in username/bin and ran it. The web user interface was launched in my default browser. At the top of the page, after the syncthing logo, it says (unknown device). The page title also says (unknown device) | Syncthing. When I select Actions | Show ID, the Device Identification dialog is blank.

I guess I need help finding all the files to delete to prevent junk from the previous install from confusing the new install.

Huh, I opened the user interface in chrome and it fixed itself! Brave was not the right choice for this.
