When I use the webgui to edit the ignore pattern it will load the last cached ignore pattern.
For example if I create a new folder and use a specific ignore pattern, then I go to an existing folder and click edit it will load the recently created ignore pattern and overwrite the ignore pattern that already exists for that folder.
I’ve came across this two folders, one stignore file, too in the past. What about offering a folder specific option how the name of the .stignore is or naming it alike: .stignore-abcd-efgh with abcd-efgh being the folder id.
(This would also be a chance for me instead of doing symlinks sharing my drive root multiple times with different .stignore-xyz containing /** and !/the-video-folder I want and so on, generating a view of my data.)
… yes, this would also be great for the android wrapper because it has SAF code just to write the ignore file where the native has no access. If we had this in the config exposed by the rest api life would be a little easier :-).
