No synchronization between RPI and NAS Synology DS923+

Hello, I installed syncthing on docker on a RPI3B because I want to receive documents in the folder “/home/Numerisations” and then transfer it to a nas synology DS923+ in the folder “volume1/Numerisations”. I’ve managed to add both devices. The status is “Up to date”.

I created a share folder on the RPI3B with the path “~/home/Numerisations” and on the NAS with the path “~/volume1/Numerisations”.

To test with an update every 2 seconds, I created TXT files. The synchronization doesn’t work. I’ve disabled the NAS firewall, but it doesn’t change anything.

I put the rights in 777 on the “Numerisations” folder on RPI3B.

Can someone please help me?

Those two things are not the same, to begin with.

That’s also suspect, as I don’t think the volume is mounted in Syncthing’s home directory.

That doesn’t tell us anything about what’s wrong. Please post errors, logs, screenshots, something to indicate what you’re seeing.

Hello, here is the file containing the raspberry pi logs with docker :_Syncthing_logs.txt is available for download

Is the correct format for entering the folder path “/home/numerisations/ ” or “~/home/numerisations/ ”?

If I don’t put “~”, it tells me that the “Error on folder ”Numerisations “ (xx-xx): folder path missing”.

If I put “~”, it tells me it’s up to date but the synchronization doesn’t work.

I put “chmod 777” on all the folders in the path.

This is definitely wrong for a Synology NAS - the folder path would be /volume1/Numerisations here.

Please post screenshots showing this folder’s location, and what you’re entering into Syncthing.

Hello, it works between two api but I can’t configure syncthing so that the server that receives the files doesn’t delete them when the server that sends them deletes them. Can you please help me?

Syncthing is a synchronization tool, not a transfer tool. That being said, there is an advanced setting “ignore delete”, but beware dragons: Your folder will permanently be out of sync. Permanently.

Since you want a transfer tool I actually suggest you look for some other tool. Maybe rsync which has an option –remove-source-files.

what does “send only” and “receive only” mean?

Please check https://docs.syncthing.net/users/foldertypes.

Please study what @tomasz86 pointed to.

Let’s say that you chose to use “Send Only” and “Receive Only”. Let’s also say that after files have been synchronized, you delete files on the device where the folder is “Send Only”. When you do that, files on the device where the folder is “Receive Only” will be deleted. Judging from what you wrote earlier, it seem to me that this is not what you want. So Syncthing is still not a suitable tool in your use case.

I confirm
