Linux: Uninstall Synchting executable?

Hey, it may be an really naive question, but I’ve only now noticed that Synthing can also be downloaded via the Ubuntu Download Center and I would like to do that now to stay up to date as carefree as possible.

However, I have already used the executable from the tar.gz from the website download.

Is there anything I need to know before I install it from the ubuntu center? Uninstall the executable in a special way?

Thanks a lot!

Just delete the executable. Nothing else special should be needed. Check the path to the executable if you have any existing scripts or shortcuts calling syncthing.

It creates configs and database under ~/.config/syncthing which you might want to clean up.
