Is resetting really the only way to go? I haven’t read through all of that link yet, but resetting for me means waiting 8 hours for a scan to complete before enabling syncing again. Is there anyway to just move the folders out on both sides and re-scan and put back in or is it toast?
Well you can shut down both sides, rename all the problematic files to something else (else as in extra or less letters with the same case on both sides) and restart.
I can do that, but should I move out the directory or just make the directories the same case?
Just normalizing the case won’t work, as syncthing has multiple entries in different cases already, you have to make sure you change the name too.
