Hi, I’ve been very busy for a while, and I repeatedly postponed the update from 0.12 to 0.13. I wanted to avoid the risk of breaking something and leaving it broken due to the lack of time (e.g. the android client wiped its configuration after an update once, and it wasn’t funny). Now I’m still on 0.12 and 0.14 is out, so what do I do? Is it recommended to do an intermediate upgrade to 0.13, or to jump straight to 0.14?
I would just download the latest binary from Github and do a manual upgrade.
AFAIK, 0.14 has nothing that depends on having 0.13 before. But it can be that the automatic config change cannot handle the jump, but I doubt that.
So backup your config, do the manual upgrade and check the config afterwards.
Doing intermediate upgrades would be a waste of time and resources IMHO, as you will have to do a full rescan twice.
You can upgrade directly from 0.12 to 0.14 without issue, by button in the GUI or package manager or manual download.
It worked perfectly. Thank you!
