Hey guys,

Syncthing noob (and noob in general) here, so please bare with me.

[this post](https://forum.syncthing.net/t/ssl-certificate-setup/2901/2) describes my problem quite well.

I want to connect to the GUI via https. My browser says that my certificate is not valid. I found the `https-cert.pem` and `https-key.pem` in `~/.config/syncthing` but I’m not quite sure what to do now.

Can you guys help me out?

This is the expected behaviour, because browsers don’t accept self-signed certificates as those used by Syncthing.

Do you something similar to the following?

If yes, you can click “Advanced” and proceed to open the Web GUI.
