Headless ubuntu vps

Hi, Moving from SFTP to this on a headless server, the server is located in the OVH data-centre. I have followed the installation show [here][1] however due to mine being headless and running the commends through putty, i cant access the web gui, I have already configured an ssh tunnel socks proxy to access through Firefox which i had successfully used to configure plex however this does not seem to allow me access to the port required for syncthing. I have tried using both the server ip and local host and neither have worked. Any help would be appreciated? [1]: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foTxCfhxVLE

You can just open up the web UI port to the world, and add password authentication.

Sorry if this is a silly question, how do i do that?
