A couple of days ago I mentioned slow response of the shares on my DS-723+

top says: PID USER PR NI VIRT RES %CPU %MEM TIME+ S COMMAND 18179 sc-sync+ 31 11 2147.0m 355.6m 115.1 1.109 170:35.19 S /volume1/@appstore/syncthing/bin/syncthing serve --config=/volume1/@appdata/syncthing --data=/volume1/@appdata/syncthing

The 115.1% CPU now are with “export GOMAXPROCS=2” in /volume1/@appdata/syncthing/options.conf Without GOMAXPROCS the DS has a permanent CPU load over 80%

All Folders are in Sync and no Scan is active The abnormal high CPU Usage lasts all the time since then The DS hosts about 360K Files in 33T Directories with 2,3 TiB Data

Any idea?

Regards Claus

Consider looking at this? And maybe report back …

How? DSM is not normal Linux and Update is only done via SynoCommunity packets.

Well, I fetched [https://github.com/syncthing/syncthing/releases/download/v2.1.7-rc.1/syncthing-linux-amd64-v2.1.7-rc.1.tar.gz](https://github.com/syncthing/syncthing/releases/download/v2.1.7-rc.1/syncthing-linux-amd64-v2.1.7-rc.1.tar.gz) to give it a try. First stopped syncthing in DSM Paket Manager.
Then renamed syncthing in /volume1/@appstore/syncthing/bin/ to syncthing.216. Then put syncthing from the Tarball to that directory, changed Ownership and Flags and started syncthing. Now the GUI shows version 2.1.7-rc.1 and after initial scanning CPU load is about 5%. Seems as the new version fixes my problem. I think I’ll wait one day before marking it as solved.

Thx Claus
