Have installed syncthing on a readynas unit. Running it as a systemd service under root. Any new folders created have the owner as root. I loose access to move files in and out of the folders on windows machines. Can someone advise how to adjust the folder permission so guest can have read write when created under root?
Readynas OS6 has a reset permission button in the UI to “restore the default file and folder access rights” on an individual shared folder. This seemed to fix the root owner on the new folders created by syncthing. It fixed multiple files at once in my share.
Afterwards I’ve checked the ignore permission options in syncthing on the linux side to see if it will create folders with different permissions.
