Ctrl+F on discourse

I like to be able to search within a page on this discourse forum for something I am looking for.

For example, I’d like to be able to search for “Master” in the quick start guide.

Normally I’d do this using Ctrl+F and typing what I want, but with discourse this shortcut is overridden.

Any chance this could be disabled or changed?

Doesn’t seem like it.

TL;DR seems to be that “normal” ctrl-f doesn’t work anyway since posts are loaded on demand when scrolling and that the discourse ctrl-f does in-topic search anyway. Sorry.

That sucks, it makes the documentation less useful. (

Try typing CTRL-F twice. That works for me, in Chrome and Firefox, in Windows. The first time opens the discourse search, and the second time opens the browser search window.
