Centos high RAM usage

Hi all,

Since I’m running Syncthing version v0.12.3 on my Centos 6.7 machines, I see a high RAM usage on all of them.

I’m only syncing 2 folders: Both have no more than 5 files, which are not bigger dan 1MB…

If I check the web GUI, I see RAM Utilisation: 20.8 MiB

But when I check the top command I see:

PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND

19607 root 20 0 859m 36m 9200 S 0.0 1.3 1:38.67 syncthing

What could cause this?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I think 36mb for the runtime, web UI, database caches, etc is quite normal. If you are worried about the 859mb, then please read what virtual memory is:

Hi Audrius,
