Cant start the program on win10 after reinstalling the software.

I deinstalled the software yesterday and installed it again today.Now it wont start,it says : If FATA:Cannot open database" appears,please close any other open instances of synchting processes alive… I killed the processes and i even reverted my pc to an earlier system restore point.When deinstalled the program yesterday i deinstalled it with Revo unistaller so i dont have any files,folders or registry entries.I alwyas do that and i never had problems with that. I downloaded the latest exe 64 bit file from the site and installed it.

@cardano, with software I guess you mean “SyncTrayzor”?
If you install it again it will use existing Syncthing configuration, but in the package included is a version of Syncthing that is too old.

You need to go to

Maybe @canton7 can make it so, that SyncTrayzor automatically gets latest Syncthing version during installation?

I believe the binary in the program folder is only used as backup, the one that is normally used lives in %AppData%.

I believe canton has been pretty busy this year and didn’t work much on the project, which is also probably the reason why SyncTrayzor still ships this old binary. They used to update the bundled version more often than now.

I still cant get it to work.So i clicked on the provided link,downloaded the syncthing-windows-amd64-v1.11.1.zip.Inside it was the synchting.exe file.I have copied it into C:\Users\Mypc\AppData\Local\Syncthing and now when i click on it it starts inside my browser.When i click on my desktop icon it sitll loads the program but with the same erorrs. I even tried the program files folder…Same thing

So the synchting icon works but it opens the browser app but synctryzor gives me this errors

I had exactly the same issue. I had to reinstall Windows since the Home → Pro update did not go as it should have. I had the old Syncthing config under:

C:\Windows.old\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\SynctThing

I solved the issue by doing first a fresh install of the Synctrayzor, then I let it to auto-update to the latest Syncthing and once finished I stopped both SyncThing and SyncTrazor. Then I replaced the contents of

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\SynctThing

With the old installation from C:\Windows.old

All good now. :triumph:
