Syncthing (on Linux) puts its index files in ~/.config/syncthing/index-v0.14.0.db (presumably changes with syncthing version).
They should really be in /var somewhere shouldn’t they?
Among other things the constantly changing files in my home directory wreak havoc with my incremental backups!
Is there any way to configure syncthing to put the index files somewhere else?

Yes, there is a -data
command line flag that can point to a different dir than the config (-config
). I see I never documented that though - jippiii, more things todo

Aha, thank you, it is documented by “syncthing -help” which is probably enough for now.
