Can files in .stversions folder be safely deleted?

Hello,

the title says it all: can I safely delete files in the .stversions folder without upsetting syncthing? I have versioning enabled on all participating nodes (except my Android client). I’m using the Linux 0.11.6 client throughout.

I believe so, but that might cause new files to be created or some files deleted.

The other notes simply don’t notice, it seems, so all is good.
