Are there any know issues with three way synchronisation?

I have three systems synchronising using syncthing. All three systems are set up to synchronise with the other two. Thus a file change can propagate from one system to another by two routes.

Are there any known issues/problems with this sort of setup? Should I actually make one system a ‘master’ system and only link the other two systems to the ‘master’ and not to each other?

This is precisely the intended use case so there should be no issues.

OK, thank you.

I’ve got the occasional sync-conflict file appearing and wondered whether it might be due to the three-way sync. If it isn’t this then it’s probably down to the same file getting changed in two places at very close times.

That should be the case, yes.
