Android app exits unexpectedly

Hi,

I’m an Android user too.

I noticed that Syncthing Android app exits frequently instead of still run in the background. I can start it manually and it starts to sync immediately but later it exists again.

“Always run in background” is checked. “Respect Android battery saving setting” is NOT checked.

About my phone:

  • OnePlus 3T (ONEPLUS A3003)
  • Build number: ONEPLUS A3003_28_171227
  • Android version: 8.0.0
  • OxygenOS version: 5.0.1

Hi,

You can hardly imagine what a relief it is for me, to finally read that someone else has the same exact issue as me. Thread opened here.

I have considered (and am still considering) various possibilities: flash a custom ROM, install an older Syncthing apk, go back to Resilio, etc.

Let’s hope for a fix.

Thanks the heads up! I posted there too just a sec ago. I don’t want to use neither custom ROM nor Resilo. Resilio is a paid app while Syncthing is almost completely same but opensource. In connection with custom ROMs: I want to avoid because of the warranty and OnePlus customer support like updates.
