2.0.4-rc1 not starting

I have noticed today (Sunday) that St isn’t loading. I use Synctrazor and all im seeing is

Even after a restart I am getting the same result. Seems there’s a huge amount of database reading but no comparing of the actual files when I open St from the exe (not within Synctrazor). Just went back to 2.0.3 and Synctrayzer opened immediately

Does the GUI open when you launch a browser outside of SyncTrayzor? What about syncthing logs?

St is totally dead, no browser and nothing in the logs. It’s as if it’s hanging on scanning the db

I have cleared the log and will leave rc-1 running as it’s midnight. Will see what has happened in the morning

There is a database migration taking place when you upgrade to https://github.com/syncthing/syncthing/releases/tag/v2.0.4-rc.1 (see the changes listed at very bottom).

Yeah. I guess we need to start the temporary migration HTTP server in this case, too. Or just the full GUI, set the folder state to Starting… or something and let it run in the background.

It does seem to be running this morning so I guess I was a bit too quick to report an issue, but saying that, this migration does seem to be much longer than previous updates, specifically thinking synctrayzor was showing the message many hours after the release.

But looking at the db folder, it’s 22Gb so perhaps as i’m an extreme user, I need to expect long delays
